ART SALES & RESEARCH is an art consultancy and gallery specializing in Post-War, Contemporary and Outsider artists, with locations in the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York, and a satellite location in Palm Beach, Florida.

LINDSEY BROWN, owner of AS&R, is a gallerist and private art dealer. She founded Lindsey Brown Gallery in 2001 in Manhattan’s West Chelsea Arts District where she showed emerging and mid-career contemporary artists. Beginning in 2007, in collaboration with fellow gallerist Rose Burlingham, she curated a variety of “Dutch Barn” art shows and events in upstate New York. 

Since opening AS&R in 2014, she has specialized in the research and sales of works of art from private collections. In 2020, after renovating her 200-year-old barn into a private exhibition space, she began a seasonal, by-appointment gallery.

She has a BFA from Bennington College and an MFA in painting and printmaking from CUNY-Queens College.
