Lindsey Brown has participated in the New York art world both as an artist and art dealer since the early 2000's when, after recieving her Master Degree in painting and printmaking from Queens College, she opened Lindsey Brown gallery in NYC's Chelsea arts district, featuring emerging and mid-career artists.

After two years she closed her gallery, and in 2006, bought a property in Dutchess County NY, creating a country studio for herself as an artist. Over the next decade, splitting her time between NYC and upstate NY, she co-curated a series of upstate art shows with New York artists working with art dealer Rose Burlingham.

In 2016 she opened a consultancy - Art Sales & Research, specializing in the research and sales of works of art from private collections and returned to curating pop-up exhibitions.

In 2020, Art Sales & Research increased its focus on representing art by mid to late career, self taught/outsider artists and several artist estates. AS&R currently collaborates with art consultants, curates exhibitions in NY and Palm Beach, and participates at art fairs nationally.
